This vibrant eatery effortlessly blends traditional Canadian comfort food with bold Mexican and Colombian flavors, creating a truly unique culinary journey for breakfast and beyond.
The atmosphere at Triple D's Diner is warmly inviting, with a nostalgic 80s vibe — think red counter seats and spacious, clean seating — that makes it perfect for both casual family meals and laid-back meetups. It's evident from the moment you step inside that this is a place where food is deeply cherished and served generously.
The menu is a delightful mosaic of hearty, flavor-packed dishes that are as comforting as they are exciting. Breakfast options like the Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict and the Wild Mushroom Omelette with arugula and creamy goat cheese showcase a mastery of classic diner cuisine enriched with Latin flair. The Huevos Rancheros, with crispy tortillas, refried beans, house-made salsa, and queso fresco, bring traditional Mexican breakfast brilliance, while the Colombian Calentado—rice and beans topped with a perfectly fried egg—honors the rich heritage of South American fare.
For those seeking something more indulgent, the Buffalo Chicken and Waffles or the Buffalo Chicken Hash deliver a satisfying punch of spice and savoriness, balanced perfectly with house-made sides like crisp home fries or fluffy chocolate chip pancakes. Sweet-tooth guests can’t resist the Nutella French Toast or the classic Churros dusted in cinnamon sugar and served with decadent chocolate and cajeta dipping sauces.
The kitchen's attention to detail shines in every dish, from the balanced textures of the Hash Potatoes to the melt-in-your-mouth Fish and Chips Dinner. Diners consistently find the portions generous and deeply satisfying, making each meal feel like a true feast. The handcrafted tortas—Mexican sandwiches toasted with Mexican mayonnaise, fresh vegetables, and your choice of succulent meats like milanesa pork, chicken, or beef—offer a handheld explosion of bold flavors.
Customer experiences resonate with genuine appreciation for both the food and the inviting environment. Tabetha mentions the "beautiful atmosphere and delicious food" alongside filling portions well worth savoring, while Paloma celebrates the restaurant for offering "authentic Mexican breakfasts and meals that are a real standout in the region." Even visitors new to the cuisine, like Rosemary, have been delighted by dishes like poutine, praising the friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere that brightened their day.
All of these elements combine to make Triple D's Diner by La Paisana more than just a meal stop — it’s a destination for those who crave comfort with character and crave authenticity made with love. Whether you're starting your day with vibrant huevos dishes, indulging in sweet treats like banana pancakes or stuffed French toast, or gathering for a hearty dinner, this diner masterfully honors its roots while embracing a spirit of culinary adventure.

Now run by La Paisana. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. Love the new menu and the portions are very filling and very well prepared. Makes for a great early dinner or late lunch.
Came here for breakfast this morning; I’ve been here before with relatives, so I know the food would be good as it has been the last time. And the food was definitely great! My grandmother ordered the regular eggs Benedict while I got their smoked salmon eggs Benedict. Both of us requested medium cooked poached eggs, they came a little undercooked, but we ended up getting them fixed. They were very accommodating about fixing the eggs. Otherwise, everything was delicious. Their home fries were crispy and seasoned well, the smoked salmon was complimentary to the sauce and egg. Service was swift, there were only two servers here at the time of us eating here (keep in mind, the place was steady and mostly seated). We didn’t feel rushed, we got our food within a reasonable amount of time too, got our bill right away when we asked for it.
A true traditional Canadian diner. We loved it. The food was well cooked and tasty. Had to try an original and typical Canadian dish, poutine. Apprehensive but it had to be done and it was amazing. The staff and atmosphere were brilliant. So friendly and helpful. We had a laugh and it brightened our day. Clean restaurant. Lots of free parking. Highly recommend this diner and more pleasant and cheaper than eating in the Niagara Falls resort.
What not to like this place. It’s a nice local cafe not to miss. It is crowded. However, there is lot of seating. Rest rooms are clean and nice 80s vibe with red counter seats. Home fries are nice and crisp.
Triple D’s Diner by La Paisana is definitely a departure from what Triple D’s used to be—in the best way! Authentic Mexican breakfasts and meals make it a real standout in the region. They’ve kept a few Triple D’s classics, like pancakes and waffles, but it’s so refreshing to see a restaurant offering something different that’s true to its cultural roots. The chilaquiles (think breakfast nachos) are phenomenal, and the enchiladas, tacos, and tortas are all worth trying. Do yourself a favour—go explore something deliciously different. There are a million places to get eggs benny, but you won’t find this kind of authentic Mexican flavour anywhere else!
The place has new owners, a new vibe and Mexican and Colombian food additions. The team is so friendly, food is delicious and portions are big.
